A Micropropeller system designed to measure water velocities and turbulence in flumes, models etc. under laboratory conditions.
Pulses created by a rotating 5 bladed impeller are counted and shown on a digital display and analogue meter.
The analogue outputs can be recorded on a suitable chart recorder or data
acquisition system.
H32-1:
Turbulence and velocity flowmeter
Micropropeller system comprising 200mm probe fitted with 5 bladed 5mm diameter
propeller head. Supplied with mains powered electronic unit.
> Measurement of velocities from 0.05 to 1.0 m/sec
> Time response of better than 10 milliseconds
> Micropropeller head diameters of 5mm
> Average or instantaneous velocities
A Micropropeller system designed to measure water velocities and turbulence in flumes, models etc. under laboratory conditions.
Pulses created by a rotating 5 bladed impeller are counted and shown on a digital display and analogue meter.
The analogue outputs can be recorded on a suitable chart recorder or data acquisition system.
A thin, 200mm long stainless steel rod is fitted with a sensor head at one end and a 3 metre long cable with BNC connector at the other.
The electronic unit is mains powered and is fitted with digital displays for display of elapsed time and pulse counts and an analogue meter for an indication of instantaneous water velocity.
Output sockets are provided for TTL and an analogue voltage output to provide a signal to a chart recorder.
