IFD7 Description
For use with recently introduced capture FM50
Series
The interface between the Capture MkII pump units and the user’s
computer is provided by the Armfield IFD7 Interface device. This conditions
the raw data from the sensors, digitises the data and transfers it to the
computer using the USB interface.
It also includes a sophisticated 3 phase inverter for providing accurate motor speed control, and a second motor drive output, all under software control.

IFD6 INTERFACE DEVICE
IFD6 Description
The interface between the Capture machine and the user’s computer is provided by the ARMFIELD IFD6 Interface Device. This digitises the analogue outputs from the equipment and tranfers the data to the computer via the USB port, thus eliminating any need to make hardware modifications to the computer. It also provides the power distribution and control for the Capture machines.
IFD6 Ordering Specification
• A computer interface accessory for use with FM Fluid Machines.
• Connects to FM equipment using PTC 'telephone' connectors.
• Connects to computer using USB cable.
• Contains two AC uotput sockets to provide power to FM equipment.
• Supplied with all required leads.
The IFD6 is essential for all
Armfield Fluid Mechanics (FM) items
(excluding the new CAPTURE MKII Range).
USE:
IFD6-A: 220-240V systems
IFD6-B: 110V systems
(Note; the IFD6-B includes a transformer to provide 230V to the FM Demonstration Units)

SWA1 Description
THE SWA1 POWER MEASUREMENT & SUPPLY UNIT
The SWA1 controls and measures
the power drawn from the equipment motor.
An integrating wattmeter with 0-5V dc output. The unit also includes
a Variac to provide variable voltage output for speed control of motors.
Voltage input: 0-250V ac
Current input: 0-2 or 0-0.2A

• Enables power measurement and variable speed experiments to be carried
out.
• Variable power output using a VARIAC.
• Range 0-500 or 0-50W (at unity power factor).
• Signal output which may be connected to a PC (not supplied) via
the IFD6 interface console.
• Derives its power from the IFD6 interface device.
